CARMEN MOLA PRESENT THEIR LATEST WORK, ‘EL CLAN’, IN MOJÁCAR
Mojácar begins a new edition of ‘Mojácar Espacio Literario’ with the presentation of the latest novel by the multi-award-winning trio of writers who write under the pseudonym Carmen Mola, titled “El Clan”, in an event that brought together a large audience in the locality’s emblematic Multi-Uses Centre.
This literary event is part of the cultural programme promoted by Mojácar Council to promote culture and art in the municipality. The presence of Carmen Mola, winners of the prestigious Planeta Prize, who return to the municipality with a new book, ‘El Clan, that has already captivated thousands of readers, is the beginning of a series of new literary gatherings in the municipality.
Taking part in the event were the three authors who hide behind the pseudonym: Jorge Díaz, Antonio Mercero and Agustín Martínez. During the presentation, they shared anecdotes about their creative process, the dynamics of working as a team and the details behind the creation of "El Clan", their most recent work. Those attending also enjoyed a question and answer session with the writers.
The Mojácar Mayor, Fran García, highlighted the relevance of this type of initiative for the promotion of local culture, commenting: "It is a source of pride for us that authors of the stature of Carmen Mola choose Mojácar to present their work. Our locality is not only a place of natural beauty, but also a meeting place for culture. Events like this reinforce our commitment to continue bringing quality activities for our residents and visitors, contributing to Mojácar becoming increasingly known as a cultural reference in the province and throughout Andalucia."
Following the presentation of "El Clan", the authors announced that after this literary tour they will take a short break to concentrate on their respective solo projects. As an interesting fact, the writer Jorge Díaz revealed that his next solo novel will be set in Mojácar, a village he has often visited in search of inspiration due to its natural beauty and cultural wealth. This announcement generated great excitement among the audience, reaffirming the close link between the creators and the locality.
With initiatives like these, Mojácar continues to consolidate itself as a cultural reference in Almería province, attracting high-level events that enrich the leisure and entertainment offer for our residents and visitors.
