This weekend a group of 92 Mojácar residents had an unforgettable experience in Seville, where they were able to enjoy the prestigious Cirque du Soleil’s show “Alegría”. The trip, organised by the Mojácar Culture Department, was very well received after being announced on social media, which led to the increase in places to allow more people to take part in this cultural event.
The excursion left Mojácar on the morning of Saturday 26th of October, allowing travellers to arrive in Seville in the afternoon. The Mojácar residents had the opportunity to look around the city and enjoy its charms and cuisine. The Culture Councillor, Noemí Linares, and the Festivities Councillor, Pascual Artero, accompanied the group on this day of activities.
The highlight of the weekend was going to the show "Alegría", one of the most acclaimed Cirque du Soleil productions. The presentation, which lasted approximately two hours, dazzled those who went along with its spectacular staging, impressive costumes and choreography.
"The response from our residents has been extraordinary," commented Councillor Noemí Linares. "The Culture Department is delighted to have been able to organise this trip and provide access to high-level cultural experiences. It is an honour to see how the people of Mojácar enjoy unique events like this, which enrich the cultural life of our residents."
The trip ended on Sunday afternoon with the return to Mojácar, leaving those who took part very content and with the desire to continue participating in future cultural initiatives. Mojácar Council is already working on the next activities to continue promoting access to quality experiences for all its residents.
